Gyokusen Temple
Kakisaki
Gyokusen-ji is a temple which became the first US consulate in Japan established by the first American consul general, Townsend Harris. The temple grounds contain the Townsend Harris Museum, which has various historical items on display, and gravestones of American and Russian sailors.
