Hanamomo (flowering peach) has long been thought in China to ward off evil, and people began displaying it for the Peach Festival.
At the Suzuki Residence, seeds were planted about 40 years ago and nurtured into their current form.
Now the grounds are filled with these showy trees, and when they bloom (usually late March to early April) many visitors come for the flowers.
