An ancient Soto Zen Buddhism temple founded over 400 years ago.

Venerated as the Daruma Daishi of Good Fortune for granting wishes such as business prosperity, household safety, traffic safety, academic success, warding off misfortune, and attracting wealth, it draws deep devotion.

Every New Year it bustles with many hatsumode visitors, and on February 3 the grand Mame Maki Festival for warding off misfortune and inviting good luck is held.

Famous figures sometimes take part, making it a popular event.

The temple sits on a spacious grounds with tranquil mountain views, offering a pleasant spot for a stroll.
