The museum on the 4th floor of Roadside Station “Kaikoku Shimoda Minato” introduces the history of Shimoda Port and its maritime culture.

It offers clear chronological exhibits and detailed models, plus an extensive display about the Japan International Billfish Tournament (JIBT), one of the world’s largest events of its kind.

Through a dramatic marlin exhibit, visitors can enjoyably discover Shimoda’s deep connection with the sea.
