The venue, Shimoda Park, is known as one of Japan’s premier hydrangea habitats. About three million hydrangea blooms fill the park, and in early summer they burst into a carpet of blue, purple and pink.
From the hilltop you can look out over Shimoda Port and enjoy the beautiful scenery where hydrangeas meet the sea.
