At Okichi-ga-fuchi, Shimoda geisha and tourism representatives lay flowers.

On the anniversary of Okichi’s death, it almost always rains, and locals whisper that the rain are Okichi’s sorrowful tears.

On March 27, 2026, Anchokuro, the small restaurant Okichi ran, will open to the public for a special viewing!
